The Church of the Prophet Elias stands on top of a small hill in Protaras. The church you see today was rebuilt in the 80s. Views are great and the inside of the church is beautifully decorated too.

Local custom involves tieing a ribbon to whatever you can tie a ribbon to and leaving a message for your departed loved ones. There are trees of remembrance which are covered in ribbons, and there is also a huge heart statue which is liberally adorned with messages.
