A small village in the Nicosia district of Cyprus, located just south of Kykkos Monastery. The history of Mylikouri dates back to Frankish Medieval times, and it is closely linked to the nearby monastery. Whatever its origin (there are a few versions), it is a picturesque village which is well worth a trip. The most enjoyable route to it is by taking a track through Paphos Forest that starts between Kelefos and Elia Bridge. This journey takes you through some beautiful woodland before arriving at the village itself. After that, it is a short trip to Kykkos Monastery up a winding road that gives spectacular views of the valley.
